Parvathi

My name is Parvathi. I am a 16 year old girl. I am the youngest sister of Sudhi who is studying at Blossom Projects right now. We are three siblings, two elder brothers who are 17 and 18 years old.  I do not have any memory about my father who died in my childhood. My mother  is mentally retired and she does not have body balance so she used to fall down and break her legs and hands.  I used to assist my mother in the hospitals. Our house is fully damaged and water leakage is a permanent problem every rainy season. Walls are almost set. We do not have any electrical and electronic equipment like fans, Television, radio, mixer grinder gas stove,  just we have simple lights. I wish to buy all this equipment for my mother. My eldest brother(Sudhi) is living with my youngest father and my elder brother is living with my mother. I am living with my mother’s elder sister.  It is very close to my mother’s house as a neighborhood. I do not get any security in my village. My neighbors are looking at me through the eyes of lust.  One night at my 15 age I was  attempted sexual  torture and attack.  I escaped and ran to my aunt and complained to her. She did not take any action and accused me loudly. I had a similar verbal insulting experience with her son in law, she never took my complaints as serious. She always accused me. They know I do not have any shelter  and protection. That night I was not ready to lose my self respect, I ran to the police station and the time was around 10pm. There were few men, they took me to a lady police and gave me water. I expressed my pain and experience. They took a case against my complaint. Now he is  in jail. My relatives are saying he will return from jail and attack me. They are afraid but I do not have any fear.

Here I feel security and ownership. I feel that hostels and schools are my. I am very comfortable here. I want to be a civil service officer. Soon after this course I need to get a job. I wanted to build a house for my mother and give her good treatment. My elder brothers do not have leadership and courage. I am sure I can coordinate them to succeed in our dream house. We will make our dream house and live together. Here I wanted to learn English and complete  my twelfth class.
